Peninsula Old Boys Football Club

The weekend was a big disappointment for the club and we didn’t put our best foot forward. Pirates stick together and we will fight back and respond after Easter against our old rivals Fitzroy. The boys have re-grouped and will put in a big fortnight on the track.
Despite the result the first 45 seconds of the Pirates Season gave a great highlight (see video below). “Scooter” Tory Taylor welcome to senior football. “Squizzy” Stuart Taylor not sure you claim teaching this.

Theo to coach U/19s

The committee is extremely pleased and excited to announce that our coach of the under 19’s for the 2017 season will be legendary club stalwart Theo Messinis. Having previously coached the under 19’s and been involved as an assistant at senior level and with reserves the club and entire playing group is extremely excited to have him back in the fold and helping to mould the next generation of Pirates.
With 13 of our Grand Final side of 2016 having come directly through our under 19’s it has been and will continue to be our greatest strength as the club rips head on into B-Grade and beyond.
A huge congratulation to Theo and to the players lucky enough to the have opportunity to play under Theo this year, your going to love your football and your going become a better player.
If there are any players interested in joining the club please contact Theo directly or senior coach Nick Claringbold 0418 356 740.
