The POBFC Committee has the great pleasure and excitement to announce the final appointment for coaching positions for 2011.
Steve Scagliarini (Scags) has been appointed to the Under 19s coaching position. Steve comes to the Pirates having been involved in football for many years. He is a former premiership player with Pines FC, Interleague representative, former senior captain coach at Frankston YCW and more recently senior coach at Dromana FC. We are absolutely delighted to have a coach of the calibre of Steve fostering and developing our young up and coming talent.
Steve joins Brett McIlwraith (seniors coach) and Adam Crean (reserves coach) as the successful candidates to coach the Pirate sides for season 2011.
For Brett we welcome back Brett to the club after a year of travel around Australia and in previous years assisting Moo and coaching C grade football in the VAFA.
We can also announce that Adam Crean will take over from Barry as Reserves Coach for season 2011. We thank Barry for his efforts over the past few seasons and look forward to having Barry around the club in 2011 in a coaching capacity.
Congratulations to Brett, Adam & Steve and we look forward to a very successful season in 2011 with these great coaches leading the way.
The Committee would also like to thank the efforts of our coaching selection Committee consisting of club legends; Peter Angus, Graeme Robinson, Andrew Atchison and Eiv Bowen.
